What are clear aligners?
Clear aligners are an orthodontic system that uses a series of custom-made, clear plastic trays to gradually move your teeth into their correct positions. Each aligner is worn for approximately two weeks before moving to the next in the series, with each set making small, precise adjustments. We offer treatment with leading aligner systems, including Angel Aligner and Invisalign.
Because the aligners are clear and removable, most people around you will not notice you are wearing them. You take them out to eat, drink anything other than water, and to brush and floss, making them significantly more convenient than traditional fixed braces.
Are clear aligners right for you?
Clear aligners can treat a wide range of orthodontic issues including crowded teeth, spacing, overbite, underbite, and crossbite. They work well for adults and older teenagers. We carry out a full orthodontic assessment before recommending treatment, and we will inform you if a different approach would produce better results for your situation.
The key to successful treatment is wearing your aligners consistently, ideally 20 to 22 hours per day. Patients who are disciplined about this typically achieve excellent results within the planned timeframe.
